Welcome to My Blog!

Hello Jero here 👋, currently living in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines as of this writing. I'm currently a software developer for an international law firm. Outside of my day job, I'm also managing a small private investment fund where I manage my and other people's (family) money. When I'm not in front of a computer coding or looking for the next investments, I sometimes travel somewhere in the Philippines to unwind where I look for places to enjoy and hone my photography skills. I also attend public events like tech-related conferences and sometimes volunteer at these events if I have the time. Why I'm Blogging (again for n^th time) I used to blog when I was in college until the early years of my career but it eventually stopped due to my work, the shift of priorities, and eventually loss of interest. And here I am again writing another one for the n^th time! I think I'm doing this again because I want to share the valuable lessons and skills that I learned throughout my working years. I want to have something I can go back to that will benefit my future self when I read it again. The primary topics that I will be sharing in this blog are programming, software development, and investing. Another reason is to express my opinion on current events. The final reason is to build my confidence in effectively communicating with others. I think having something written first somehow boosts my confidence, especially on topics I know about. Overall, I want to have a platform where I can go back to and reflect on it in the future. I think I'll stop here for my first post.
